Youth-Led Research & Evidence Generation
SAYDi recognizes credible evidence as a foundation for inclusive development, effective policymaking, and accountable governance. Developmental decisions made without sufficient data from communities affects young people. SAYDi works to close this gap by generating evidence based, youth-led research that informs policy, strengthens public discourse, and improves development outcomes.
Through community-based and policy-oriented research, SAYDi examines issues across education, governance, climate, justice, digital inclusion, and youth development. We emphasize on the impact of decision and policies on families, and young people ensuring that evidence reflects lived realities and not assumptions.
SAYDi’s Research & Evidence Lab operates as a knowledge hub that designs and conducts studies, produces policy briefs and reports, and builds the research capacity of young people. The Lab supports participatory data collection, policy analysis, and evidence translation to ensure findings are accessible to policymakers, practitioners, and communities.

Civic Participation, Governance & Digital Rights
SAYDi views active civic participation and accountable governance as essential to inclusive development and democratic stability. Public institutions weaken and development outcomes suffer when citizens, particularly young people are not included in governance processes. SAYDi works to strengthen democratic participation, transparency, and accountability at community and policy levels.
In today’s digital age, governance increasingly extends into online spaces. SAYDi integrates digital rights, online safety, media literacy, and responsible use of modern day technologies into its civic engagement work to ensure that digital systems promote inclusion rather than exclusion.
Our work supports youth and communities to engage meaningfully in decision-making, monitor public institutions, and use digital and media tools responsibly to influence policy and public accountability.

Inclusive Education & Human Capital Development
SAYDi recognizes education as a critical driver of social mobility, civic participation, and sustainable development. However, persistent inequalities in access, quality, and learning outcomes continue to limit opportunities for many young people, especially in rural and marginalized communities.
SAYDi works to strengthen education systems by focusing on education demand, equity, and community engagement, rather than infrastructure alone. We examine how parental involvement, community participation, governance, and youth aspirations influence education outcomes and human capital development.
Through research, community engagement, and policy dialogue, SAYDi supports initiatives that improve education access, enhance learning environments, and equip young people with the skills needed to participate effectively in society and the economy.
Our Approach
- Education access and equity research
- Community education needs assessments
- Youth skills and leadership development
- Education-focused policy engagement and advocacy

Gender, Climate Justice & Community Resilience
SAYDi works at the intersection of climate justice, gender equality, and community resilience, recognizing that environmental stress, social inequality, and weak protection systems disproportionately affect women, girls, and young people. Climate change is not only an environmental challenge; it is a social and economic crisis that deepens existing vulnerabilities, disrupts livelihoods, weakens community structures, and increases risks of exclusion and violence.
Our work under this thematic area focuses on strengthening community resilience by addressing structural gender inequalities, promoting climate-responsive social protection, and advancing inclusive, youth-led solutions. We examine how climate shocks, displacement, food insecurity, and economic stress exacerbate gender-based violence, limit access to education and services, and undermine community cohesion. Through research, advocacy, and community engagement, SAYDi supports locally grounded approaches that protect vulnerable groups while enhancing adaptive capacity.
We prioritize youth leadership and evidence-based interventions to ensure that climate responses are inclusive, gender-responsive, and rooted in the lived realities of communities. By linking climate justice with gender and protection issues, SAYDi contributes to sustainable development outcomes that are equitable, resilient, and people-centered.
Our focus areas include:
- Gender equality and women’s empowerment
- Climate justice and youth-led climate advocacy
- Gender-based violence prevention and response
- Community resilience and social protection
- Inclusive adaptation and disaster risk reduction
